Lawn Seeding

Lawn seeding is an essential step to achieve a dense, uniform, and healthy lawn. It helps repair bare areas, improve the quality of existing turf, and create a lawn that is more resistant to weeds.

In general, the best times to seed a lawn are in the spring and in late summer.

In the spring, seeding is recommended from mid-May (or when the risk of ground frost has passed) until mid-June.

In late summer, the ideal period is from mid-August to mid-September, when the soil is still warm and conditions are favorable for germination.

These periods allow grass seeds to establish more easily thanks to moderate temperatures and improved soil moisture conditions.

Tips for Successful Seeding

  • Choose high-quality grass seed suited to the conditions of your property.
  • Use good-quality topsoil to promote root development.
  • Cover the seeds with a thin layer of soil to protect them.
  • Water lightly every day for 7 to 10 days to keep the soil moist.
  • When the grass reaches about 10 cm (4 inches) in height, begin mowing.

Proper care during the first few weeks is essential to ensure uniform germination and strong root establishment.
